A stunning, detached South Wales holiday cottage perfectly located in beautiful countryside overlooking the River Usk and Celtic Manor Resort (opposite the 2010 Ryder Cup course).

Woodbank is approached through a long sweeping private drive and set in 20 acres of its own grounds with accommodation of approximately 8000 square feet.

Luxuriously decorated and furnished, this cottage provides spacious, first class accommodation perfect for a family celebration or get together with friends in an area which can offer something for everyone in an unspoilt part of the country.

Set over three floors with far-reaching views, this cottage has eight charming bedrooms, many boasting en-suite facilities and a fabulous kitchen with an AGA, dining area and doors to the rear patio and garden.

A more formal dining room makes a great place for the whole group to sit together over a celebratory dinner and leisurely Sunday lunch, followed by relaxation time in the sumptuous sitting room, again with amazing views, or the cosy snug.

LLANHENNOCK

Caerleon 2 miles; Abergavenny 19 miles; Weston-super-Mare 40 miles.

The scattered village of Llanhennock lies in unspoilt countryside in Monmouthshire and boasts a thriving village pub which offers homemade food and real ales. Just two miles north of Llanhennock is the Roman town of Caerleon which boasts Roman baths, an amphitheatre, a museum as well as numerous pubs, restaurants, shops and parkland. Celtic Manor Resort, where Europe won the Ryder Cup, is also close by and offers three championship golf courses, luxury spa and fitness facilities, excellent restaurants as well as lots of activities for all the family. This beautiful part of Wales offers wonderful walks in magnificent scenery all year round, Cwmcarn Forest Drive is a mountain biker's dream and there is a variety of days out for the lovers of history with its array of fine castles, prehistoric caves, Iron Age hillforts and the Blaenavon Iron Works. The Brecon Beacon National Park offers the avid walker and keen cyclist spectacular scenery at any time of the year, with rolling countryside and valley and the wild beauty of waterfalls and caves. Take a drive across the magnificent Severn Bridge and visit the town of Portishead with its stylish marina and cosmopolitan feel, offering many restaurants and coffee shops or enjoy the lovely coastal walks at Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare. Visit the historic walled town of Chepstow with its celebrated race course and impressive Norman castle or the picturesque village of Tintern with its magnificent 12th century Abbey regarded as one of Britain's finest relics of the Monastic age. The market town of Abergavenny is also close by and offers an indoor market hall, its own museum, unique shops and pubs and restaurants to suit all occasions as well as many festivals throughout the year. Monmouth is a short drive away, located where the River Wye and River Monnow meet; the birthplace of King Henry V, it also houses a bust of Lord Nelson in Monmouth Museum and is the world’s first Wikipedia town, where visitors can scan QR codes around the town with their smart phone to view Wikipedia articles relating to the area. The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Course, originally the family home of Charles Rolls, is also well worth a visit. The city of Cardiff is home to many major shopping centres, an ice rink, water rafting, Cardiff Castle, the National Museum of Wales and the Cardiff Bay facilities, including the Wales Millennium Centre, the BBC Studios and the Dr Who Experience which are all just a short drive away.
