What is self catering?

Self catered accommodation is a home away from home, although with Scotts, it's a very special home.

You have full use of a furnished property exclusively for you and your party for your stay. It is an economical way of going on holiday with your family and friends, offering the most flexibility. Beds are made for you prior to arrival, with good quality linen and towels provided for your use whilst at the property and you are then left to your own privacy. As a general rule, self catered properties traditionally let on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks are available outside of the popular summer holiday dates.

Some reasons you'd choose to book a self catered property

  • Your own home is not big enough to accommodate a large group in comfort
  • You like the privacy and autonomy it provides
  • You feel more at ease, especially with small children, being by yourself
  • You can't relax in your own home when guests come to stay

Some points to remember

  1. Remember to bring your provisions & toiletries with you
  2. Please leave the property in the same state of cleanliness as you found it.
  3. As a paying guest the owner entrusts you with their home and contents – please look after them!

No matter your circumstance please show some courtesy to those who may be attending to your needs during your stay, we are after all, only human!

  • You've always wanted to explore another part of the UK
  • It's a convenient meeting point for all party members
  • You'd like to enjoy the comforts & facilities of someone else's home
  • It's more personal than staying in a hotel and not as restrictive as staying in a B&B
