Description

Betws-y-Coed 10 miles. This detached stone-built cottage is located within the village of Pentrefoelas, near the town of Betws-y- Coed in North Wales and is well known as the Gateway to Snowdonia. With stunning views of Snowdonia, this cottage is ideal for families and groups of 12 that enjoy hiking in the countryside. There is easy access to the cottage and within, including wheelchair accessibility. There are a total of six beautiful bedrooms across two floors, including pretty beamed ceilings. This property provides a well-equipped kitchen/diner perfect for cooking your meals while you’re there. There are two superb cosy sitting rooms with Freeview TVs (main lounge has Smart TV) and woodburning stoves to keep you warm throughout your stay. There is a large dining table in the main sitting room with seating for ten to twelve. This sitting rooms also has a CD player and record player with a large collection of CDs and records. There are two Bose players and an iPod MP3 player. The second siting room is also a games room with a football table, pool table and snug area for the family to relax. There is a TV in the kitchen and a TV/DVD player in one of the bedrooms which can be moved around into any of the other bedrooms if required (there are TV aerial points in every bedroom). There is a lovely rear lawned garden with a patio and BBQ perfect for sunny weather. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. Attractions nearby include miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Tree Top Adventure High Ropes Course, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy. There is trout fishing and go-carting in the next village and the Brenig Lake is in close vicinity with fishing, walking, fantastic children’s play area, café and cycling (bike hire is available). A wonderful family holiday home.
