Description

Found in the town of Ayr, a popular seaside resort, is this ground-floor apartment with great access to the sea and a variety of amenities on your doorstep. Suited to couples or even a small family who want a trip to the seaside as well as soak in the gorgeous Scotland countryside, this property makes for a fantastic base to travel along the Western coast of Scotland. Hop up the three steps, make your way through the communal hall to your front door on the right, and come into this delightful apartment, heading into the living space through the entrance hallway. A bright and open room thanks to the French doors leading out to the enclosed patio letting the light flood in, this is where you will enjoy relaxing with your loved ones. A dining area provides you with a perfect spot to gather around for meal times, while the plush seating will be a comfort after a busy day exploring. Turn the TV on and watch as you begin prepping dinner in the kitchen area, home to several essential appliances for your self-catered stay. Move across the wood floors and step outside into the courtyard on a summer morning with your coffee to begin the day feeling refreshed. Enjoy a hot shower in the bathroom with a walk in shower, as well as a basin and WC, and continue getting ready for the day in one of the bedrooms choosing from a king-size or a twin. Both bedrooms benefit from stunning sea views, with the quaint Isle of Arran being visible on a clear day too. Affording excellent storage space is a built in cupboard-turned-wardrobe, leading to the king-size room with a unique curved wall, beautifully presented and decorated in a simple and effective style, you are sure to love this sleeping spot. Take a stroll down to the sea to experience Ayr's lovely long and sandy beach, complete with a delightful esplanade perfect for walking along. Also on the promenade, the kids can enjoy the massive play park, or even have an afternoon at Pirate Pete's where the local children have birthday parties and love the soft-play areas if it's too cold outside. For a spot of culture and the arts, the Gaiety Theatre is just a 5 minute walk around the corner, with a varied choice of eateries, bars, pubs and cafes on the way, or within a short walkable radius including The Treehouse, Cecchini's, The Rupee Room, Cafe Monza, Smith's, The Smoking Goat, Macfarlane, and for a later night out, Mecca Bingo too. If you want to snuggle up for a night in to plan your day ahead, the local favourite fish and chip shop Wellington's, is a minute's stroll away for you to experience the best fish supper in Ayr, right next door to the award-winning Renaldo's ice cream shop. The highly up-to-date Citadel Leisure Centre is also a mere 9 minute walk away and offers a range of sports classes, a fully equipped gym and swimming pool which is also great for the kids. You can hire bikes closeby and cycle all the way to Greenan Shore with breathtaking sunset views over the iron bridge, where you can feed the ducks, swans and the only goose at the mouth of the River Doon. Visit the birthplace of Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns, on the outskirts of the town at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum for some fascinating local history. A bit further afield, there are regular bus and train links to the historic city of Glasgow, as well as the seaside town of Largs, where you can catch a quick ferry to the Isles of Arran, Bute and beyond. Another favourite haunt of many of the locals is golf, with three public golf courses nearby you have an excellent selection. The Property is an ideal base for exploring this lovely area of Scotland.
