Forfar is a small market town in Angus, once a major manufacturing centre for linen and jute, situated just off the main A90 road between Perth and Aberdeen. Providing a range of local shopping from antique emporiums to boutique craft shops and cafes. The town also supports a couple of high street banks, a post office, some better known high street retail shops and supermarkets. Forfar is near to the Angus Glens which offer superb hill & moorland walking, including ten Munro\'s as well as miles of narrow twisting roads and ancient footpaths, great for cyclists, drivers and walkers.

The Glens (most notably Glen Cova, Glen Doll and Glen Isla) offer an abundance of wildlife sightseeing opportunities from ospreys to eagles, stags and hinds as well as the more common sightings of highland cows and sheep. Wildlife and birdlife aplenty as well as stunning colour changes to the landscape as the heather and moorland grasses come in and out of flower.
