Port Isaac Large Holiday Homes

The picturesque harbour of Port Isaac is a very popular destination for those wishing to visit the home town of ITV’s popular television series ‘Doc Martin’ as well as the equally well regarded local shanty singers ‘The Fishermans Friends’.

Perfect for coastal walks, Port Gaverne is just around the corner (a great spot for coasteering, but make sure you go with a recommended local who knows the terrain) or further down the coast is a peaceful cove ideal for exploring rock pools at low tide and crabbing. The coast path takes you right past Doyden Castle, a tiny fortress perched high on the cliffs. There’s a lovely sandy beach at Polzeath and Daymer Bay (which has the benefit of being dog friendly all year round). St Enodoc has a 18 hole golf course overlooking the Camel estuary, and only a 20 minute drive from Port Isaac. There are regular ferry’s crossing the estuary from Rock to Padstow, where you’ll find a range of boating trips and fishing excursions available. The Victorian Gardens at Long Cross are also worth a visit. Port Isaac has a range of traditional pubs to choose from, as well as cafes and gift shops. Alternatively you may wish to just sit back and watch the comings and goings of the day to day harbour life from one of the many cafes that line the harbour.
