Dereham Large Holiday Homes

In a great central location for exploring the county, this historic town from the Saxon times has a large market place and a variety of individual shops and cosy pubs. Gressenhall Farm on a 50 acre site has a museum of working life on the farm and in the workhouse, as well as rare breeds of animals and an outdoor playground for children. The gardens at Bradenham Hall are open seasonally to the public and the arboretum has many rare shrubs and roses.

The town also features a fully restored windmill which has a coffee shop and exhibitions which change monthly. The lovely museum in Bishop Bonner’s Cottage is truly a step back in time, the building has a colourful history and there are displays of photographs and artefacts from local archives. The Mid Norfolk Railway is an ideal way to visit neighbouring market towns in the area, steam trains run in the summer months and there are special gala events such as music festivals and vintage days.

There is plenty to keep children happy on a rainy day, the town has a pool, cinema and ten pin bowling. Planet Zoom has an indoor soft play area for the younger ones. The dinosaur themed adventure park in Lenwade has a deer park, crazy golf, farm animals and many more outdoor activities.
