Description

This stunning detached farmhouse is set next to the owner's working farm in the hamlet of Priestcliffe, within the breathtaking Peak District National Park. The property has been sympathetically renovated to offer luxurious, spacious accommodation comprising of two wings, the original farmhouse and its converted barn, with both wings having the added benefit of their own kitchen and living space, making it an ideal choice for families and groups of friends who want to holiday together but equally enjoy their own space. Both of the kitchens are well-equipped with one having a large range cooker with double oven and 6-ring gas hob, and both include dining tables where guests can sit keeping the designated chefs company whilst preparing their gourmet dishes! The wings of the house are joined by a beautiful dining room with a gas stove and an exquisite antique banqueting table large enough to sit twelve guests, the perfect place for entertaining or celebrating a special occasion. There are two cosy and comfortable sitting rooms, one featuring an open fire and the other a wood-burning stove, and as both include Smart TVs with Sky TV you will be spoilt for choice where to relax in the evening. There are six spacious and beautifully styled bedrooms, two with luxury en-suite facilities and one of which is on the ground floor, ideal for guests who may struggle with stairs. A seventh twin bedroom, accessed through a quirky half-height doorway, provides additional accommodation that will appeal to older children. As well as the en-suite facilities there are a further three stylish bathrooms, one of which boasts a luxurious freestanding bath, and with two cloakrooms on the ground floor there are plenty of facilities for all. Outside, you will be astounded by the beautiful countryside views and the outdoor space available to you, with an enclosed garden and play area, lovely patio area perfect for alfresco dining whilst taking in the views, and a gated enclosed pond. Walkers and mountain bikers will be spoilt for choice with public bridleways, a nature reserve, tracks and footpaths on your doorstep, taking you through magnificent open moors and countryside. With Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and the market towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne close by there is plenty of choice for things to do and see, in this wonderful area.
