Welcoming Holiday House, Gower

Shepherds holiday cottages sit nestled in a tree lined valley in the hamlet of Parkmill, a delightfully charming enclave of Gower. Swansea, Mumbles village and some of Gower's best beaches and landmarks (Worm's Head, Rhossili, Oxwich and Llangennith) are all within 10 to 20 minutes' drive. Plus you can enjoy a fabulous short walk from Shepherds to Three Cliffs Bay, a strikingly beautiful award-winning beach with a world famous view.

Shepherds coffee shop and convenience store is just yards away and the Gower Heritage Centre is less than a minutes' walk. The heritage centre is a family favourite but also hosts many festivals throughout the year including the annual cider festival and Blue Grass Music festival.

Shepherds Apartment
Shepherds Apartment is a spacious apartment located above the shop, and spread over two floors. The apartment has a cosy ambience with a large fireplace with wood burner, beamed ceiling and oversized leather sofa. This is a great place for an extended family or group of friends to relax in, or use as a base to explore the rest of Gower.

Enter into hallway with shower room off. The shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and basin. The large lounge/diner/kitchen has double doors giving access to the large garden which also has a wooden table and chairs, and a bench. The sociable lounge/dining area has a table and chairs, TV and DVD player, log burner and large comfy sofa.

The fitted kitchen has integrated appliances including: an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave and fridge. There is a freezer and a washing machine in a hallway cupboard.

The snug has a two seat sofa and TV and a selection of board games. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and basin. There is a separate WC.

The main level has 3 bedrooms: 2 King and a twin. The twin is a slip room to two further twin bedrooms which are accessed via a spiral staircase (may not be suitable for small children or people with mobility issues).

External: Large garden split into 2 areas, mainly lawn. Table and chairs for 8 plus separate pub style bench. There is a separate play area for smaller children. Parking available in shop/cafe car park.

Although smaller in size than other regions of Wales, this area still has a great selection of historical sites to visit and rolling countryside with a dramatic coastline. Perhaps best known for the impressive Brecon Beacons, this mountain range is very popular for those seeking an activity holiday with something to suit all, from mountain biking and caving to horse riding and star gazing events. The Vale of Glamorgan is worth a visit, with a 9 mile heritage coastal path not to mention the famous Barry Island with its vibrant amusement park which is all only a few miles from Cardiff.

Not just an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley and the Vale of Usk combined can also boast having the most castles per square mile in Britain. In recognition of its revolutionary importance the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape is now a World Heritage Site and has a fascinating collection of ironworks, mines and a national museum.

Cardiff is perfect for a day of shopping and sight-seeing. The varied choice of entertainment ranges from live music venues, guided tours and art events. For a peaceful walk or nature spotting trip then the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is a beautiful and isolated place to unwind.
