Large Holiday House, Gower

Eastern Slade Barn is an impressive barn conversion which has been refurbished to a very high standard and can now sleep up to 13 people. The barn was the original farmhouse built over 200 years ago. Located close to Slade Bay it offers easy access to the Wales Coastal Path in one direction and Oxwich Bay in the other. The barn has 3 wet-rooms and 4 bedrooms, and off road parking for several cars.

Based on a working dairy farm the owners are always happy to show you around and give you an insight into their daily lives.

The property is perfect for a group of walkers or outdoor lovers in general, it would also suit a couple of families wanting to share the cost of their holiday.

The ground floor is wheelchair friendly and has a fitted kitchen with granite worktops, washer/dryer, large gas range cooker and 5-ring hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There are 2 dining tables with two benches which can seat 6 people and 7 chairs.

There are 2 identical rooms which have a triple bunk in them (double bed on bottom, single on top). The third bedroom on the ground floor is a twin.

There are 3 wet-rooms on the ground floor all with WC, basin and showers. The third wet-room is wheelchair friendly.

The lounge space is accentuated by the double height beamed ceiling; it has two 3-seat sofas, 2 small chairs and cushioned window seats for 5. The centre piece of the room is the log burner which can also be used as a food warmer. The room also has a large wall mounted Smart TV and underfloor heating.

An oak staircase takes you to a mezzanine area which has access to the large first floor bedroom which has 5 single beds.

Sleeps 13: 1 Twin, 2 Triple (Double with Single over), 1 Room with 5 Single beds.

C/O day - Sat (Flexible). Air source heating. Bed linen provided for full week bookings only. No towels (Towels can be hired from property owner £5 pppw). WiFi. Off road parking for 4 cars + car port. Highchair & travel cot provided. 2 pets accepted. No smoking

Perhaps best known for the impressive Brecon Beacons, this mountain range is very popular for those seeking an activity holiday with something to suit all, from mountain biking and caving to horse riding and star gazing events. The Vale of Glamorgan is worth a visit, with a 9 mile heritage coastal path not to mention the famous Barry Island with its vibrant amusement park which is all only a few miles from Cardiff.

Not just an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley and the Vale of Usk combined can also boast having the most castles per square mile in Britain. In recognition of its revolutionary importance the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape is now a World Heritage Site and has a fascinating collection of ironworks, mines and a national museum.

Cardiff is perfect for a day of shopping and sight-seeing. The varied choice of entertainment ranges from live music venues, guided tours and art events. For a peaceful walk or nature spotting trip then the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is a beautiful and isolated place to unwind.
