Comfortable Holiday House, near Pwllheli (WAG517WA)

The Property is an impressive detached barn conversion, full of character, with wonderful original features, in a secluded location on the Lleyn Peninsula, a short distance from the Snowdonia National Park. The barn has extensive gardens, which include a tennis court and covered, heated swimming pool (some restrictions apply off-season). Criccieth 6.5 miles, Pwllheli 4.5 miles.

This property comprises a large central section, with bedrooms in East and West wings. The impressive spacious living room, has a high-vaulted, timber-framed ceiling, comfortable country style seating round a woodburning stove, flatscreen Freeview TV, DVD player, WiFi, and a large dining table and chairs. In one wing is a ground floor bathroom. Stairs lead up to two bedrooms, one with a super king size bed and the other with full size bunk beds. The main kitchen is adjacent to the lounge and also has a large table and chairs. The ground floor utility room houses the washing machine a WC, basin and shower cubicle. Stairs lead up to the en suite king size bedroom, two further twin/king size zip and link bedrooms and another shower room. Spiral stairs lead down from the king size bedroom to a second living room, again with comfortable seating, a woodburning stove, Freeview TV and DVD and a table and chairs for four. This wing also has a separate entrance and a smaller second kitchen.

The Property sits in extensive grounds. There is a large patio area with plenty of garden furniture, a pizza oven and Mongolian hotplate for outdoor catering. There is a tennis court at the bottom of the garden, and other garden games also available. The heated swimming pool is enclosed, with a retractable roof. The swimming pool is included from April to October. From the end of October to the end of March, it is available by arrangement in advance (but not at short notice), at an extra cost of £100/week to cover heating charges.

The facilities on site at this property are so wonderful, you will probably just want to sit back, relax and enjoy! If you do want to venture further afield, a superb range of activities, attractions and places of interest in Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula are within easy reach.

LocationNorth Wales

North Wales showcases some of the UK's most varied landscape, from the snow-capped mountains of Snowdonia to the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula. Indeed, it is one of the only parts of Britain where you can be in the mountains in the morning and at the seaside by the afternoon. The diverse animal life of the region reflects this, with everything from otters to ospreys and seals to dolphins.

Not many places are imbued with such history and heritage, which is reflected throughout the region from cottages to castles! Attractions abound, with zoos and farms, steam railways and activity centres. There are regular events from international cultural festivals and shows to family fun days.

The area also offers a huge range of outdoor activities; walking, cycling, fishing, golf and water-sports to name only a few. In many parts of North Wales the spoken language is Welsh, not English, although people who cannot or will not speak the latter are rare, and signposts and other notices always display their message in both languages.
