Well Appointed Group Retreat, near Brecon (POPLABR)

One half of a pair of spacious, semi-detached, Eco Lodges situated on a busy working farm in the centre of a Welsh Village. Both properties have use of a shared hot tub and children's play area. Constructed of welsh stone at the front, overlooking the lawn, and with wooden "D" shape logs on the sides and back of the properties, making them reminiscent of American Lodges

Sleeps 10 +2 in 5 bedrooms

The kitchen is equipped with large fridge freezer, electric oven with hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. There is a spacious dining area where visitors can eat at an oak farmhouse style dining table. There are large French windows looking out over the panoramic views of the garden, the children's play area and across the valley to the hills beyond.

There are comfortable sofas and chairs for relaxing and large screen TV's with DVD, and CD player. Mobile telephone reception is variable but possible in places. All bedrooms have flat screen Freeview TV's and mattresses are pocket sprung with memory foam top layer ensuring a five star comfortable sleep.

Bedroom 1: There is a downstairs bedroom with twin beds and a large wheel-in shower/wet room ideal for less able guests/wheel chair users with hand basin and toilet. The disabled bed is electrically operated to lift the head or feet as required, please discuss further with owner

Bathroom: This has a large spacious shower enclosure, corner bath, hand basin and toilet

*There is a SHARED HOT TUB with Beech Tree Lodge - this is complimentary to the lodges but for guests wanting exclusive use there will be a charge of £30 for a 2 hour usage. There is a curfew of 10pm which has to be strictly adhered to. The hot tub is provided on site for guests own pleasure and is not reflected in the charge of the property. Owners reserve the right to shut down the spas at any time if essential maintenance is required

These two properties have been built and developed making them as comfortable, warm and hi-tech green energy efficient -typically 70% efficiency is achieved.

Bike Hire - 12 Mountain Bikes available for hire on Discussion in advance with the owner

Location - The Lodges are located in a lovely setting in the centre of the tiny hamlet of Crai in the The Brecon Beacons, with perfect walking straight from the door. There is a regular bus service 50 yards away. The owners live and work here on the large organic farm which supplies Welsh Beef and Lamb to Waitrose; there are 300 acres of land for visitors to explore and walk over (on discussion with the owner please)

Star gazing - The farm has recently been awarded a Dark Skies Milky Way status due to its unpolluted dark skies - access to binoculars and Telescope available on request

Grazing available - The Owner of the Farm and the Lodges is happy to provide grazing (on discussion) if visitors wish to bring horses

LocationMid Wales

This is the go to place for outdoor enthusiasts to make the most of the fantastic walking, riding & cycling opportunities, especially in the Cambrian Mountains National Park. The Ceredigion Coastal Path features numerous trails to choose from depending on how far you wish to travel. Whether for a full walking holiday or just a stroll along the cliffs to a village pub, this unspoilt route is perfect and has views out across the famous Cardigan Bay which is home to the UKs largest pod of dolphins.

Dotted along the Wales-West England border are lots of lovely market towns, many of which have their own castle. This disputed ground has a large number of Roman and Norman medieval fortresses, today some are only ruins or just the earthen works remain however there are plenty which have restored to their former glory and are open to visitors.

Mid Wales also just touches on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, a popular mountain range for exploring caves, forest activities and other more extreme outdoor sports such as rock climbing and abseiling. A number of historic railways mean other regions of Wales are easily accessible for a day trip, and make for an enjoyable way to travel and take in the sights.
