Perfect for an extended family gathering, The Property is a spacious, detached farmhouse situated on the owners' working stock and sheep farm in the hills just north of the historic cathedral town of Brecon and within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The house sits in an elevated position, above the farmyard and barns, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. There is a patio area, with garden furniture and barbecue, with a peaceful outlook over the hills to the rear of the property.

The Property will comfortably sleep up to ten adults, with additional sleeping accommodation for two children, toddler and baby. On the ground floor, the house has a sitting room with four 3-seater sofas, electric fire, large flatscreen TV with Sky free channels, video and DVD players. The dining room has a dining table and chairs to seat 10. The kitchen is neatly fitted and includes an additional table (chairs available if required), electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Further kitchen storage space, with microwave, fridge and fridge/freezer along the rear of the dining room adjacent. In the hallway is a payphone (no mobile signal) and BT WiFi hub. The rear porch provides a useful coat and boot storage space, with door out to the patio. Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms - a double and a single - and the shower room with basin and WC. To the first flor are four further double bedrooms and a single bedroom with additional cot bed for a toddler. There is also a traditional frame cot available. The family bathroom has bath, basin and WC, and there is a separate WC/basin. The house has oil-fired central heating throughout. There is bike storage available and a neighbouring field can also be made available for exercising your dog and children, if required!

The Property is just 3.5 north of the Brecon Beacons National Park, 5.5 miles from the historic town of Brecon, with its Cathedral and Castle, and 13 miles south of Builth Wells. There is excellent walking in the area, forest and nature trails, Epynt Way, Llangorse Lake and other reservoirs, and walks along the Montgomeryshire and Brecon Canal. The 'book town' of Hay-on-Wye is a pleasant 20 mile drive to the west.

LocationMid Wales

This is the go to place for outdoor enthusiasts to make the most of the fantastic walking, riding & cycling opportunities, especially in the Cambrian Mountains National Park. The Ceredigion Coastal Path features numerous trails to choose from depending on how far you wish to travel. Whether for a full walking holiday or just a stroll along the cliffs to a village pub, this unspoilt route is perfect and has views out across the famous Cardigan Bay which is home to the UKs largest pod of dolphins.

Dotted along the Wales-West England border are lots of lovely market towns, many of which have their own castle. This disputed ground has a large number of Roman and Norman medieval fortresses, today some are only ruins or just the earthen works remain however there are plenty which have restored to their former glory and are open to visitors.

Mid Wales also just touches on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, a popular mountain range for exploring caves, forest activities and other more extreme outdoor sports such as rock climbing and abseiling. A number of historic railways mean other regions of Wales are easily accessible for a day trip, and make for an enjoyable way to travel and take in the sights.
