Welcoming Group Retreat, near Brecon (CANALBR)

This is an excellent, refurbished, spacious, six bedroomed house with the added advantage of a Games Room. Located close to the Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal and within a few minutes' walk to the centre of Brecon town - ideal for walking into town to enjoy the pubs and restaurants there. This house is in an ideal location for visiting the whole of the Brecon Beacons National Park and for all types of activity breaks. Mountain bikes can be washed and stored in a secure area, and there is parking for 4 cars.
Offering easy access to walks along the canal and the river meadows alongside the Usk , Brecon theatre is also only a couple of minutes away.
Brecon Rugby Club is on the opposite side of this quiet lane. Occasionally at weekends the rugby club hosts functions, potentially with live music.

The Property offers ample space for a family group celebration or for a group of friends on a weekend away.

Accommodation - Sleeps 13 in 6 Bedrooms

The accommodation downstairs comprises a large kitchen/dining room with long kitchen table and chairs for at least 12 people. The kitchen is very well equipped with a larder fridge, an electric fan-assisted oven and a five ring gas stove , microwave, washing machine, preparation areas and two sinks. Plenty of work and storage areas and is fully equipped for group catering, with a large freezer and iron and ironing board in a separate utility room.

The sitting room is spacious and comfortably furnished with sofas and chairs and has a 40" TV and DVD player with a large cupboard very well-stocked with books, board games and toys with various local maps and local information. With a gas flame effect stove adding warmth and cosiness to the room for the winter months, but there is efficient gas fired central heating throughout. French doors lead out onto a spacious patio area with large table and chairs and a barbeque with lots of tubs of flowers.

A separate games room is ideal for everyone, with a "chill-out" space with a sofa and beanbags, a 46" TV, DVD, Wii and a Pool Table.

The separate utility room has hanging space for coats and storage for walking boots and has a downstairs shower, toilet and handbasin.

Upstairs the 6 bedrooms and bathrooms. All with bath/shower rooms and with good quality beds mattresses and co-ordinated bedlinen throughout:

LocationMid Wales

This is the go to place for outdoor enthusiasts to make the most of the fantastic walking, riding & cycling opportunities, especially in the Cambrian Mountains National Park. The Ceredigion Coastal Path features numerous trails to choose from depending on how far you wish to travel. Whether for a full walking holiday or just a stroll along the cliffs to a village pub, this unspoilt route is perfect and has views out across the famous Cardigan Bay which is home to the UKs largest pod of dolphins.

Dotted along the Wales-West England border are lots of lovely market towns, many of which have their own castle. This disputed ground has a large number of Roman and Norman medieval fortresses, today some are only ruins or just the earthen works remain however there are plenty which have restored to their former glory and are open to visitors.

Mid Wales also just touches on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, a popular mountain range for exploring caves, forest activities and other more extreme outdoor sports such as rock climbing and abseiling. A number of historic railways mean other regions of Wales are easily accessible for a day trip, and make for an enjoyable way to travel and take in the sights.
