Living Space

Reception rooms

Two spacious reception rooms make it easy for large groups to congregate or dissipate as required. The contemporary drawing room and connecting TV lounge are generous in proportion, providing plenty of natural light through high sash windows overlooking private gardens and the golf course beyond. Movie buffs will be hard pushed not to enjoy the blackened cinema room with purpose built sloped floor and rows of faux leather cinema style seats.

Also on the ground floor and built in keeping with the style of the rest of the house is a fabulous indoor swimming pool. A well-equipped gym can also be used by guests.

Kitchen / Dining

The contemporary dining room with polished floors, ornamental fireplace and (almost) floor to ceiling sash windows can comfortably seat 12-14 guests around a modern, solid wood table. This room would also work well for hosting corporate board meetings.

The Kitchen is light, modern and well equipped, providing all you need to entertain a house party. Cooking is prepared with the use of a 5 ring gas hob, top & bottom electric oven and microwave. There’s plenty of storage in the American style fridge/freezer with water & ice dispenser and a breakfast table seating 8 comfortably, or 10 at a push.

LocationEast Lothian

Welcome to the sunniest area in Scotland! With the shores of the Firth of Forth to the north, one of East Lothian’s main attractions is its 40 or so miles of coastline, incorporating gloriously sandy beaches. The county is possibly best known however for its links golf courses, of which there are 22 to choose! The city of Edinburgh is in the neighbouring county, and is an easy day trip away, with the attraction of shopping, culture, heritage and of course, Edinburgh Castle. The largest town in the county is Musselburgh, which boasts its own racecourse, and reputedly the oldest golf course in Scotland. The main administrative town however is the county town of Haddington. Nearby is the stately Lennoxlove House, belonging to the Duke of Hamilton and home to an impressive art collection. Along the coast, you will find North Berwick, a seaside resort made fashionable in the 19th Century, and still an attractive place to visit. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the offerings of the Scottish Seabird Centre, and boat trips are also available from the town out to the nearby islands, home to a great number of sea birds. Walkers may like to investigate the North Berwick Law, a large conical hill rising above the town. The smaller Dunbar also sits on the coast, slightly further east. The town had a tempestuous history, seeing a number of ancient conflicts, but is now a pleasant and peaceful town, home to the John Muir Country Park.

The Lothians

From history and heritage, to culture and entertainment, The Lothians have it all to offer. Whether you journey to West, Mid or East the area is packed with landmarks and scenic countryside. Edinburgh can be found here, and the city hosts a variety of activities and attractions to tempt everyone.

Central Scotland

Incorporating the two largest Scottish cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, Central Scotland is a hive of activities and attractions for visitors, and there will be plenty to entertain you on your trip. For a family outing try Edinburgh Castle, for a day at the beach try the Firth of Forth coastline, for shopping you can’t beat either city centre, or if you just want soaking up some Scottish landscapes try Perthshire’s rolling southern lowlands, and wilderness of its highland. Whatever takes your fancy, the central counties can offer it all. Airports at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Prestwick offer great transportation links for those coming from afar.
