Description

A wonderful large family house to sleep 10 people, superbly located in a remote yet accessible location near the picturesque Blaen y Glyn waterfalls and beside the Talybont Reservoir, which is now a SSI with its large number of seasonal visiting waterfowl. There is a 'hide' for bird watchers beside the reservoir and trout fishing on the reservoir. The Taff Cycle trail runs past the house, so bring your mountain bikes or can be hired locally. Only a few minutes walk into the woods behind the house is an interesting neolithic site. Brecon Mountain Railway is also only a few minutes drive up the valley. This is a very popular spot for hill walkers and mountain bikers being an easy access point on to the mountains. As shown on ITV "Holiday Home Sweet Home".

Accommodation:

Sleeps 10, 4 bedrooms.

Beautiful, warm underheated flooring throughout. A spacious, very well equipped, fitted kitchen and dining space. Large gas-fired cooker and hob, tall fridge, dishwasher etc. Ample workspace and all you need for cooking for a large group. The dining area has a beautiful stone tiled floor, an extended dining table that can comfortably seat 12-14 people. Leading off the kitchen; a good-sized utility room with a microwave, washing machine, freezer and additional storage space and a drying room for wet coats and boots; also a separate toilet and handbasin.

Down a couple of steps from the kitchen into a large, oak beamed, attractive and welcoming sitting room with a woodburning stove, large comfortable sofas, TV, DVD and CD player.

Through the huge cart arched windows, enjoy the superb panoramic views  of the Talybont Reservoir and surrounding mountains. Double doors lead on to an outside terrace within the rear garden with wooden table, benches and BBQ. The larger garden at the back of the barn has a trampoline which children love - visitors are welcome to use this but please note. (at own risk).

Up the hand-made, oak staircase to four bedrooms:

There are two separate toilets and handbasins on this floor and all the bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms.

Bedroom 1: This is generously sized bedroom with an oak-framed double bed and a single bed, one chest of drawers, 3 side drawers and hanging space. There is an additional mezzanine floor with a double bed.

There is also an ensuite shower room with double-sized shower and wash basin.

Bedroom 2: Again, a generously sized bedroom with an oak-framed double bed and a single bed, one chest of drawers, 2 side drawers and hanging space. There is an additional mezzanine floor with a single bed and chest of drawers. This room has an ensuite shower room with double-sized shower and wash basin.

Bedroom 3: This room has twin beds, a chest of drawers, hanging space and an ensuite shower room with a double-sized shower and wash basin.

Bedroom 4: This bedroom has a double bed, one chest of drawers, side drawers, hanging space and an ensuite bathroom with a bath/overhead shower and wash basin.  There is an additional unused mezzanine floor.
