Dubbed the ‘Granite City’ due to its wealth of buildings constructed from the locally mined granite stone, Aberdeen is a thriving cosmopolitan city located in the north east of Scotland. Situated between the river mouths of the Dee and Don, and with the North Sea coast line to the east the city is surrounded by a lot of water, and as such has a rich maritime heritage, and enjoys a fantastic golden sand beach.
