In a spectacular setting on a 34,000 acres estate, this Victorian shooting lodge is the perfect location to explore the untouched Scottish wilderness. With breathtaking scenery overlooking Loch Ericht, with frequent reports of Golden Eagles sighted overhead, it is surrounded by a ha-ha and deer fence to keep the deer off the lawn. Fishing is available for trout on the loch in season and you are welcome to bring your own boat.
Within, you know you are in a traditional shooting lodge, with antlers on the wall, tartan throughout and a roaring fire in the drawing room. It is ideal for 12 adults and 5 children, with the dining table seating 12 only. The bedrooms are scattered throughout the top floors, each with their own unique and cosy charm. A gamekeeper’s cottage is a short distance away to the rear. Accessible by an 11 mile private road, which is not open to the public, the lodge is not available during the winter months.
