Nestled in the hills of the Ochils on the River Devon, the village of Dollar is a peaceful and pleasant place to visit. There is plentiful walking and cycling opportunities in the area; a route from the village takes you through the dramatic Dollar Glen Chasm up to the 15th Century Campbell Castle, where you can enjoy the spectacular views from the castle fortress back across the glen. A visitor centre at the castle informs of the Castle’s rich history and heritage. Dollar Glen also provides access trails up into the Ochils Hills for the more keen walkers. Dollar Museum offers a range of exhibits on the full history of the village and surrounds. For golfers, Dollar offers a 18 hole hillside course.
