Based on the pier the Sea Safari boat trips are ideal for travelling along the coastline to spot dolphins and seals.

Ideal for day trips across to Lundy Island or along the coastal paths to Combe Martin, the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is also worth a visit. Within walking distance are several attractions such as the aquarium, museum and the stunning Landmark Theatre on the promenade hosting cabaret shows and various exhibitions. Tunnels Beaches has a fascinating network of carved tunnels and tidal pools for bathing. The gardens at Larkstone Park have lovely views out to sea, with tennis, bowls and putting on site.

Near Hele Bay is the working watermill Hele Mill, with demonstrations of the working machinery and tours available, also tearooms offering cream teas. Watermouth Park & Castle is a great day out; this Victorian fortress has collections of historical displays, a theme park, maze and landscaped gardens to wander in. For something different visit Chambercombe Manor which is said to be one of the UKs most haunted buildings.
