With views overlooking Scotland and England, this stylish house with its beautiful setting is the perfect luxury retreat in the country for you and your friends to enjoy.

This is an exceptional farmhouse, reminiscent of a French chateau, which is decorated throughout to a high luxury standard, offering spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to ten guests. This large holiday home has great style and fine furniture, more country house than farmhouse. Set within 600 acres of farmlands in Northumberland by the England/Scotland border, it enjoys stunning views across the river Tweed.

    The sitting room is a classic drawing room with an open fire, which includes a TV and comfortable seating. There are two particular areas within the room, the main section where you can gather around the fire, and then at the bay window is another area where the light comes in and you can sit and play cards or take tea. Everything is stylish within this front room, from the gilt mirror above the fireplace, to the well draped curtains. This is a great room to entertain all your family and friends.

    Kitchen & Dining
    The other front room is the large modern kitchen, which is designed with living space in mind, complete with breakfast table for more informal dining. With polished granite worktops at the kitchen area and on the central island, there is a lot of working space. The stainless steel cooking range has 5 gas hobs and double oven, along with a microwave, so there is plenty of cooking capacity. A large US style fridge freezer and chest freezer allow for excellent food storage. There is also the more formal dining room, which is ideal for a special meal for the ten of you in an elegant setting. To the rear is the boot room and the utility room.

  • Accommodation is provided for a group of 10 adults in 5 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms and 2 shower rooms, as follows:

    First floor – room 2, double room, with king size double bed in large room, with en-suite bathroom with bath with shower over, w.c and wash hand basin; room 3, double room, with king size double bed, with en-suite shower room, with shower cabinet, w.c and wash hand basin; room 4, double room, with king size double bed; bathroom, with bath with shower over and a separate shower cabinet and wash hand basin; w.c with w.c only; room 5, double room, with bathroom en-suite with bath with shower over, w.c and wash hand basin.

  • Surrounded by lawn and a wall on two sides, there is parking to the front and side for at least ten cars if required. To the rear of the farmhouse is a farm and the house looks out over fields. Coldstream offers an array of shops and pubs, whilst supermarkets can be found in Berwick or Kelso. Fishing on the Tweed is a popular pastime and golf is available locally, the nearest course being in Coldstream itself. This is an ideal location for a family group, sporting and golfing parties alike, this beautiful, grand country house is the perfect retreat for those looking to holiday in Northumberland and to explore Southern Scotland.
