Heacham village has two local beaches, the nearest being North beach where the promenade leads to the neighbouring Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton. The village itself is well served with local shops including Tesco Express, bakery, Fish & Chip shop, three local pubs and a chemist. If you wish to explore the surrounding area on two wheels then visit the High Street bicycle shop where cycle hire is available year round and visit the neighbouring villages of Ringstead, Snettisham and Old Hunstanton or hop aboard the coasthopper bus and take in the countryside views. If you prefer exploration on foot there is a variety of coastal paths and trails to discover including the popular Peddars Way. Why not visit the nearby village of Burnham Market with a variety of individual shops nestled around the picturesque village green; there is even a hat shop for those special occasions! While away an afternoon browsing the cobbled courtyards or enjoy browsing the galleries with contemporary paintings and sculptures. Foodies enjoy savouring flavours’ of Italy with a visit to the Tuscan Farm shop or nearer to home is Norfolk Lavender with restaurant facilities, a small farm and local produce available at the Farm shop. Heacham Manor & Golf Club is well worth a visit, enjoy lunch or supper in the garden room or perhaps treat yourself to afternoon tea or a treatment in the Mulberry Spa.
