Situated in a secluded rural setting in the pretty hamlet of Crowan, The Property is a magnificent grade 2 listed building that has been lovingly restored to provide a truly unique stay for up to twelve guests. Formerly a vicarage, the house has undergone extension renovation over recent years, sympathetically restoring many of the original features as well as adding a modern element to the new design. Large granite walls, open fireplaces and exposed beams are seamlessly intertwined with sleek modern architecture, including a glass ceiling kitchen extension complete with wood fired pizza oven. The rustic dining room with triple height ceiling is an indulgent space for entertaining, whilst the library provides a cosier retreat to relax in. The two formal reception rooms at the back of the property look out over the sensational garden, framing the view between the original arched windows.

The bedrooms offer a selection of double and twin rooms, perfect for families or groups of friends that require flexible sleeping arrangements. The five bathrooms across the top two floors offer luxury rainfall showers, with the family bathroom providing a gorgeous roll top bath to soak in. Space in this property is in abundance, which makes it ideal for multiple families.

The house is surrounded by extensive gardens that have been beautifully landscaped to make the most of the outside space. Grass steps from the formal garden lead you to an expansive lawn with sensational countryside views. At the bottom of the garden there is a large pond that is fed from the fresh water stream that runs down the side of the garden. Follow the gravel pathway around the pond and explore the hidden woodland that surrounds it. Please note that the pond is not fenced off so children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

There are also three separate holiday cottages that share this estate – Coachman’s Cottage (sleeps 4), Gardener’s Cottage (sleeps 2) and Woodman’s Cottage (sleeps 2). These can be booked with The Property for additional accommodation if required.

This property offers a low occupancy discount of 20% for groups of 8 or less at certain times of the year.

LocationCornwall

Cornwall is the most western part of the South West of England and is a very popular holiday destination with its array of golden sand beaches and dramatic cliff top scenery. The Cornish peninsular is bordered by sea, north, south and west with just one (land based) entrance and exit route over the eastern border to Devon. Traditionally fishing, mining and agriculture were the mainstays of the local economy but tourism has since replaced these. Cornwall boasts thousands of acres of un-spoilt moorland protected as an area of outstanding natural beauty. All year round, the 630 miles of coastal walks (preserved in part by the National Trust and Duchy of Cornwall), are enjoyed by walkers of all ages. Cornwall is known for its mild climate giving rise to the plethora of botanical & specialist gardens like the Eden project, Trelissick and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. By escaping to Cornwall you can thoroughly immerse yourself in the many contrasts that draw visitors year after year. From the picturesque fishing villages steeped in history to the iconic Eden Project, looking to the future. Survey the changing landscape from moorland to the dramatic & varied Cornish coastline. Sample the freshest gourmet offerings from the abundance of local produce or simply find a quiet spot and unwind with a Cornish clotted cream ice-cream! Wherever you choose to hang up your boots, you will never be far from the sea.

South West

England’s peninsula incorporates the counties of Cornwall and Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Bristol. This region is mostly rural so is perfect to escape the everyday hustle and bustle, whether relaxing with the family by the seaside or exploring the wild moors and rugged coastline. The area boasts hundreds of beautiful sandy bays to choose from and fantastic surfing opportunities. The historic cities of Exeter, Bath and Gloucester are definitely worth a visit, and with transport links all the way down to Penzance even the famous Lands End and remote Isles of Scilly can be reached.
