The ruins of Kelso Abbey lie in the town, a short distance from the river. Once the richest abbey in Scotland, the remains are still awe-inspiring! Floors Castle is home to the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, and exhibits some fine historic collections, fantastic gardens and grounds, and an exciting adventure playground for the kids! If you have a few minutes spare whilst visiting, take a turn around the beautiful War Memorial Gardens, the formal gardens are well maintained and a peaceful and tranquil place.
