Innerleithen, found in a beautiful valley location and is home to the subject of Sir Walter Scotts novel, St Ronan Well. The town is also famous for being the location of the annual Border Games.
For activities for the older kids, (and adults too!) try Go Ape at Glentress, or for more demure activities the Dawyck Botanical Gardens are a beautiful setting for a gentle stroll, showcasing an abundance of wildlife and impressive botany.
