The popular market town of Duns enjoys a beautiful country setting with the backdrop of the Lammermuir Hills. Duns is a traditional market town of the Scottish Borders, with an interesting history, having been part of England, and in the middle of various cross-border wars, before ending up in Scotland as it is today. As a town it has a pretty main square with its’ Mercat Cross as the central point, with various coffee shops, banks and village shops. A larger Coop supermarket is available here, along with two fuel stations. The Jim Clark Museum is located in Duns, as this is the hometown of the former Formula One champion, and is a popular focal point for car enthusiast and bikers. Also on offer at Duns is a parkland golf course which is situated on the south section of the Lammermuir Hills.
