Encompassing a stretch of the Solway Coast, and a range of the Galloway Forest Park, there is much to do in this area of Dumfries and Galloway. Dalbeattie Forest is home to the 7Stanes mountain biking trail, and there is plenty of walking and cycling to be found in the area in general. Kirkcudbright is an attractive town, popular with artists. The nearby town of Castle Douglas is a thriving market town, with plenty of local produce to try. For family entertainment, try the Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park.
