Ballater is an attractive Victorian village nestled in the countryside of Royal Deeside. Best known for its Royal Connections, it is the nearest village to the Balmoral Estate. Perhaps the most known landmark is the Old Royal Railway Station, where the Royal family alighted every year for their Balmoral Holiday. The beautifully restored Victorian station is worth a visit today.
