Located in the council area of Stirling, formerly part of Perthshire, Killin is a historic village that forms part of clan MacNab ground. This area of Scotland is popular with the activity minded, with great walking available particularly with Ben Lawers on the north side of Loch Tay, which stands at 1,214 metres high and is good challenge for all walkers and is classified as a “Munro”. Loch Tay is popular for salmon fishing and water-sports. The village has a river running through it with the Falls of Dochart being located at the west end. On offer are some village shops, including a Co-op, pubs and hotels, as well as outdoor shops. For golfers Killin has a very picturesque 9-hole parkland course with fine local views.
