Nestled on the shores of Loch Fyne, in the north west of the Cowal Peninsual, is the small pictureque village of Strachur. Ideal for walkers, there are a number of routes through the Glenbranter Forest. The village is also home to the Smiddy Museum and Craft Shop.
The small village of Strachur is located on the shore of Loch Fyne, on the north west edge of the Cowal Peninsula. Surrounded by beautiful countryside the village is ideal for exploring the local walks. Glenbranter Forest, part of the greater Argyll Forest Park, has a number of walking and cycling routes, including the Launder Walk. If you are visiting the village, stop by the Strachur Smiddy Museum, a small exhibition, displaying the tools of the traditional blacksmith trade.
