Description

The magnificent Rudby Hall Estate rests in the idyllic countryside of Skutterskelfe near Hutton Rudby, North Yorkshire. The Grade II listed Georgian mansion was built in 1838 for the daughter of King William IV, and the properties have now been converted into elegant self-contained accommodations perfect for large groups and celebrations. Each property is exceptionally well-presented with a high-quality fixtures and furnishings offering a luxurious holiday for a plethora of party makeups whilst being surrounding in the glorious countryside and beautifully-kept grounds of the estate. 

Hutton Rudby's village centre is a short drive and is home to a handy shop and a Post Office, as well as a selection of pubs to enjoy a drink or a delicious meal. The surrounding area offers something for all tastes and interests; from the wondrous walking and cycling country of the North York Moors, to the wealth of fabulous towns including Thirsk and Middlesbrough, and even the East Yorkshire coast around 30 miles away. Northallerton and Darlington rest within easy touring distance, or if you prefer the seaside, Saltburn and the lovely seaside town of Whitby offer a superb day out for the whole family to enjoy. The Spa town of Harrogate, with Betty’s tearoom and the City of York, with the beautiful Minster, are approximately an hour’s drive away. 

Explore the ruins of the National Trust owned Mount Grace Priory or see the iconic Gothic architecture of Whitby Abbey. If you are keen walkers, Carlton, Faceby and Swainby are all great destinations to explore, and Cleveland way can be reached in a pleasant drive with lots of coast-to-coast walks to embark on.

A pretty village on the northwest fringes of the North York Moors National Park. Hutton Rudby plays host to a convenience store, a Post Office and a choice of pubs, some of which serve food. Hutton Rudby is 6 miles from the market town of Yarm and 4 mile from Stokesley, both which are good for food, drink and independent shops. Close by, keen walkers and cyclists can explore the scenic North York Moors, or enjoy a spot of shopping in the large post-industrial town of Middlesborough, a place bursting with excellent eateries, shops and pubs. A trip south with bring you to the stunning market town of Thirsk, lined with attractive buildings and hosting a popular racecourse. For a trip to the coast, head 35 miles to the popular historic port of Whitby, it offers the dramatic Whitby Abbey, a range of attractions and a glorious stretch of sandy beach, whilst the Mount Grace Priory, House and Gardens rests at the bottom of the Cleveland Hills.
