Description

The Property is a detached holiday home, just a few short steps from the tidal estuary in the rural village of South Pool. The two-storey house provide a good standard of accommodation for a family, couples or those simply looking for a holiday retreat in a sought-after location with quick access to the Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary. The split-level accommodation has three bedrooms, three bath/shower rooms and one kitchen. There is a private drive with space for a car, boat and trailer. The Property is situated in a conservation area, in the very heart of the picturesque village of South Pool within a few yards of the tidal estuary, and just a short walk to the Millbrook Inn. Small boats, canoes or paddleboards can be launched nearby for water trips on the estuary. A Canadian canoe is available, along with crab lines, buckets and nets for use on the village pontoon. Nearby is the stunning Start Bay coastline, with miles of beautiful beaches and the National Trust coastal path - for spectacular walks through the villages of Torcross, Beesands and Hallsands, and on as far as the Start Point lighthouse - is just a short 10 -15 minute drive away. From the French windows, there are views of the village, tidal estuary and gardens. A flight of stone steps lead up to the entrance hallway at first floor level. This light and sunny dual-aspect living space is furnished with two sofas, two arm chairs, coffee table, and wood burning stove. There is Wi Fi. Bluetooth speaker, television with Freesat and DVD player. Two sets of double French doors lead out onto the first floor balcony with furniture and views of the village, tidal estuary and gardens. The open plan accommodation extends into a dining area and kitchen. The dining table can seat up to six comfortably. The kitchen is fitted with a variety of equipment including an electric range cooker (with five-ring hob and two ovens), microwave and dishwasher, two under counter fridges and a under counter freezer. At ground floor level is a utility/laundry area with one fridge, washing machine and condenser tumble dryer. Three bedrooms in total, on the first floor. The en suite main bedroom has a King size bed, bedside units, wardrobe and drawers. The en suite has a shower cubicle, wash-hand basin, W.C. heated towel rail, and light. A second double room also has a double bed, bedside units, fitted wardrobe and drawers, whilst the third bedroom has bunk beds. (Children under 11yrs only, children 6yrs and over in the top bunk only) In addition to the en suite shower room (above) there are two further family bathrooms, one on each floor. The first floor bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, wash-hand basin, W.C., and heated towel rail. The ground floor bathroom is fitted with a shower, wash-hand basin, W.C., and heated towel rail. At ground floor level is a south facing conservatory (accessible from the car park) with sofa, table and chairs to seat 6. French window doors lead out to the lower terrace. There is a paved terrace to the front and side of the house, with table and chairs, leading to a private garden and orchard, which surrounds the house. An open driveway provides off road parking for a car and a boat trailer. The Property is a family friendly house with easy access to beaches and coastal walks.
