Holiday cottages in Broadstairs

The seaside town of Broadstairs has a lovely old world charm with a traditional high street of independent shops and cafes, there are also several sandy beaches to choose from and coastal walks along to the larger towns of Margate and Ramsgate. Joss Bay is the most popular for surfing whilst Viking Bay is more sheltered and features a small pier and harbour. Other beaches in the area are backed by the iconic chalk white cliffs, and great for rock pooling.

There are two 1950s style ice cream parlours in the town and numerous art galleries including New Kent, the Broadstairs Gallery and the Little Art Gallery. The town is famous for being the favourite holiday spot of Charles Dickens, Bleak House has a museum full of Dickens memorabilia and his study rooms are available to view. In case of a rainy day there is a seafront cinema and community theatre.

St Peters Village offers guided tours with a historical theme presented by costumed characters, and throughout the year the town hosts food festivals and events including the Water Gala, Dickens Festival, and a folk week.
