Knodishall village is ideally positioned between coast and country with easy access to the beaches at Thorpeness (two and a half miles away) and at Aldeburgh (three miles away). The village is interspersed with pretty gorse-covered commons and is well served by the Butcher's Arms pub which provides good food and live music. There is also a village shop and garage.
We booked both barns for a family get together, and the arrangement worked very well. It was useful having several bathrooms and two kitchens and fridges with such a large party. The secure rear patios provided suitable safe space for the young children, and the extensive grounds were perfect for multi age-group water fights, football and frisbee. We also enjoyed using the tennis court. We weren't rowdy but it was good to have such extensive private space to enjoy each others company. There were good dog walks directly from the barns, and easy access to Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Minsmere and Snape. The owners were helpful when needed but not at all intrusive. A great venue for our large family gathering! - Mr Cobb
