True Yard’s Fisherfolk museum depicts two preserved fisherman cottages and a smokehouse. Planet Zoom is the perfect indoor activity centre for a rainy day to keep the children occupied. Castle Rising is an impressive 12th century castle, with a rich and fascinating history. Truly a hidden gem, visitors can wander the keep and imagine the battles fought and the royals who resided here hundreds of years ago. Surrounded by a moat, the stunning manor house of Oxburgh hall is worth a visit. Inside is a great hall with library, on site cafe and medieval tapestry’s and antiques on display. There are 70 acres of woodland trails and gardens to explore.

Castle Acre Priory is a preserved monastic site, dating back to 1090. There is a herb garden and display of archaeological finds from the ruins. An ideal spot for a picnic and dogs are also welcome. Snettisham Park is a working farm open to the public where you can join in with the feeding of the animals and meet the resident herd of red deer. Roydon Common is a lovely nature reserve great for walking and spotting rare plants and birds.
