The castle of Laugharne was known originally as the Castle of Abercorran, and existed in Laugharne before the Norman Conquest and belonged to the Princess of south Wales. Within a 30-minute drive you have access to Wales’ largest theme park, Oakwood, and next door is the Blue Lagoon Water Park for those rainy days.
For guests who wish to get away from it all, a relaxing walk through the renowned Colby Woodland Gardens in Amroth to discover the splendour of the secret Valley Gardens is recommended. You can enjoy woodland walks, the wildflower meadow, colourful walled gardens in summer and the marvellous colours of acers, dogwoods and sweet-gum in autumn.
