Inviting Holiday Home, near Caswell (385HH)

The Property is a characterful semi-detached family house sleeping 8 people, perfectly located for the beaches of Langland and Caswell Bay, with them both being just a short walk away. A couple minutes by car you will find the popular village of Mumbles with its seafront promenade and the 'top shops' of Newton Road.

The house has four good sized, light and bright bedrooms, one of which is conveniently located downstairs. Another of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room and there is a separate family bathroom and an additional ground floor cloak room.

The Property has some wonderful features including stained glass and an ornate feature fireplace within the lounge. Its light filled rooms also lead out onto a private, rear garden with patio, glazed balcony and a good sized lawn. All of this makes The Property the perfect venue for a family or a group of friends to get together and enjoy all that the area has to offer, some of which is located on your doorstep.

Enter into a porch area with beautifully glazed window which then leads into a hallway with solid wood floors.

The good sized cottage styled kitchen comes equipped with ample storage space, breakfast bar, electric double oven, 4 ring gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and a separate utility room housing a tumble dryer.

In the classically styled dining room there is dining table and chairs for 8, solid wood floors, and a high chair for the smaller members of the family.

The comfortable lounge area comes with two 3-seater sofas and 2 armchairs. TV with freeview, an ornamental corner display cabinet, coffee table and french doors leading out onto patio area.

The ground floor also benefits from a cloakroom with WC, wash hand basin and a king sized bedroom which can be made into a twin with bedside furniture and wardrobe.

The remaining three bedrooms are all on the first floor along with a family bathroom complete with bath, wash hand basin, WC and separate shower cubicle.

Two of the bedrooms are made up as twin rooms with solid wood beds and accompanying bedside furniture, hanging and drawer spaces.

The third bedroom is the master room with king sized bed, bedside furniture, hanging space, drawer space and soft seating perfectly located within a light filled bay window. This room also has its own en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC.

External: Garden set on multiple levels. Made up of patio with garden furniture, glazed balcony and steps down to lawned area.

Set on the waterfront, this city is a great base to explore the South West of Wales and take in the culture of numerous museums and the many parks and gardens to choose from. There are a range of fun activities to choose from such as wind surfing and kite surfing, local beaches along the Gower Peninsula include Caswell Bay, Llangennith Beach and Oxwich Bay. The Clyne botanical gardens are perfect for a peaceful walk, Plantasia is also worth a visit, this rainforest in the heart of the city is home to a huge variety of tropical plants, parrots, monkeys and reptiles.

The Swansea Museum is the oldest in Wales, its exhibitions focus on the industrial and maritime history of the city. Also in the Maritime Quarter is the National Waterfront Museum. There is free admission to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, a fun and interesting day out for all ages with many of the items collected by Sir Henry Wellcome. The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery has a diverse collection of photography and art from local artists.

Swansea has a large leisure complex with an indoor waterpark, surf machine, gym plus many more sport and play activities. Local public gardens and parks include Singleton Park, Cwmdonkin, Brynmill and Penllergare Valley Woods. Slightly further afield is the Carmel Nature Reserve. Mumbles is a great day trip, a pretty seaside town with Victorian pier and lighthouse. Oystermouth Castle is open seasonally and visitors can walk along the ancient ramparts which have amazing sea views across Swansea Bay.

South Wales

Although smaller in size than other regions of Wales, this area still has a great selection of historical sites to visit and rolling countryside with a dramatic coastline. Perhaps best known for the impressive Brecon Beacons, this mountain range is very popular for those seeking an activity holiday with something to suit all, from mountain biking and caving to horse riding and star gazing events. The Vale of Glamorgan is worth a visit, with a 9 mile heritage coastal path not to mention the famous Barry Island with its vibrant amusement park which is all only a few miles from Cardiff.

Not just an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley and the Vale of Usk combined can also boast having the most castles per square mile in Britain. In recognition of its revolutionary importance the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape is now a World Heritage Site and has a fascinating collection of ironworks, mines and a national museum.

Cardiff is perfect for a day of shopping and sight-seeing. The varied choice of entertainment ranges from live music venues, guided tours and art events. For a peaceful walk or nature spotting trip then the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is a beautiful and isolated place to unwind.
