Cosy Family Retreat, near Langland (36HH)

An exclusively designed, stylish family home, in a quiet position close to Langland and Caswell Bay. This remarkably versatile property has 4 bedrooms, 3 en suites and all can be made up to suit your requirements - each bedroom has zip 'n' link beds so each room can be made into a king size or a twin bedroom.

Maryland holiday home is also ideal for visitors seeking golf breaks and is within strolling distance of Langland Bay Golf Club. It is very close to the 'Blue Flag' family beaches of Langland Bay and Caswell Bay. While the bustling village of Mumbles with its many boutiques, restaurants/cafes and pubs is just a short drive away, this is also an ideal location for accessing the wonderful scenery, beaches, activities and attractions that are available on Gower.

The house is open plan, with a galleried first floor which features a spacious sitting area. On the ground floor there is a large family room with soft seating and a feature fireplace (with gas fire) and patio doors onto the front garden. The media lounge has further soft seating, and a flatscreen TV/DVD player with surround sound. The raised dining area has a large round extendable table with seating for 8.

The large, well equipped fitted kitchen has a gas range double oven, a microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is also a ground floor bedroom which has a superking size bed that can be converted into two single beds. The family bathroom has a step in shower, wash hand basin and WC.

First floor: At the top of the oak staircase you are greeted by a further lounge area with an electric fireplace and 2 large sofas - an ideal place to read a book or just relax away from the rest of your party. There are 3 further spacious bedrooms - all have en suite facilities. Each bedroom is furnished with a superking size bed that can be converted into 2 singles. All bedrooms are furnished with plenty of built in storage space.

External: There are front and rear gardens offering morning and evening sun with parking for 3 cars comfortably (4 cars at a squeeze). Patio furniture provided for rear garden.

Although smaller in size than other regions of Wales, this area still has a great selection of historical sites to visit and rolling countryside with a dramatic coastline. Perhaps best known for the impressive Brecon Beacons, this mountain range is very popular for those seeking an activity holiday with something to suit all, from mountain biking and caving to horse riding and star gazing events. The Vale of Glamorgan is worth a visit, with a 9 mile heritage coastal path not to mention the famous Barry Island with its vibrant amusement park which is all only a few miles from Cardiff.

Not just an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley and the Vale of Usk combined can also boast having the most castles per square mile in Britain. In recognition of its revolutionary importance the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape is now a World Heritage Site and has a fascinating collection of ironworks, mines and a national museum.

Cardiff is perfect for a day of shopping and sight-seeing. The varied choice of entertainment ranges from live music venues, guided tours and art events. For a peaceful walk or nature spotting trip then the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is a beautiful and isolated place to unwind.
