This superb chapel conversion with views across to Snowdon, dates from 1862. Capel Fachwen has been tastefully converted, yet retains many of its original features such as the 16ft high panelled ceilings and large arched windows. Approx. 2 miles to Llanberis, 7 miles to Caernarfon.With its 5 bedrooms and spacious open living area this is the ideal property to spend time with friends or family, winter or summer.

There are two sitting areas,both with underfloor heating, one on a lower level with an easy chair and small sofa, the other on a raised area with a wood burning stove (initial logs included, then at cost) and patio doors leading to the decked patio. The small 'snug' leads off the main room and has a flatscreen TV/DVD/Freeview/ Wi-Fi, an antique sofa and chairs, a work desk, small library and a selection of games.
The contemporary, luxury kitchen has a wide range of fitted units and integral appliances including a five ring hob, American style fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area has a pitch pine table, church pew and chairs.

The galleried first floor Master bedroom has a king size bed, en suite bathroom with slate tiled shower cubicle and separate dressing room with a built in desk, storage, hanging space and laundry chute! The spacious, contemporary family bathroom has a roll top bath and large slate tiled shower enclosure.

The remaining four bedrooms, under the eaves on the second floor, all have the original exposed beams .The carpeted double bedroom is furnished in a 'retro' style, the twin bedroom has fantastic views from the Velux window, the second double bedroom has a wooden floor and the third double bedroom is simply furnished with hanging space and cube storage.

The ground floor utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, storage, sink, hanging rail and underfloor heating is ideal for storing and drying outdoor kit. Ground floor WC and basin.Outside there is parking for 5 cars, seating areas to make the most of the south facing position, a large decked area with garden furniture, a raised area with barbecue and chimenea and sloping lawned grounds with mature shrubs and trees.

With superb walking from the door and easy access to Llanberis, Capel Fachwen has something to offer all year round. During the summer, watersports and swimming on Wales's first official 'bathing lake', outdoor activities, The Snowdon Mountain Railway and Lake Railway, Electric Mountain visitor centre and indoor play area, The National Slate Museum and a pottery painting studio. Other attractions not to be missed are Caernarfon Castle, The National Trust's Penrhyn Castle and wonderful Anglesey coastline.

Indeed, it is one of the only parts of Britain where you can be in the mountains in the morning and at the seaside by the afternoon. The diverse animal life of the region reflects this, with everything from otters to ospreys and seals to dolphins.

Not many places are imbued with such history and heritage, which is reflected throughout the region from cottages to castles! Attractions abound, with zoos and farms, steam railways and activity centres. There are regular events from international cultural festivals and shows to family fun days.

The area also offers a huge range of outdoor activities; walking, cycling, fishing, golf and water-sports to name only a few. In many parts of North Wales the spoken language is Welsh, not English, although people who cannot or will not speak the latter are rare, and signposts and other notices always display their message in both languages.
