Cosy Holiday Home, near Brecon (PENTBBR)

The Property is close to Pentwyn Farmhouse and Red Kite Stable Cottage also a recently beautifully renovated property. Together the two properties will comfortably sleep up to 15 visitors and there is plenty of space in the Barn to eat together. Throughout both properties there is superb craftsmanship with "home grown" oak from the farm for the beams, doors and windows. The farmhouse dates originally from the early 1600's. Pentwyn Farm is set on high ground above the hamlet of Merthyr Cynog with the most beautiful panoramic views over rolling farmland in the valley to the Brecon Beacons - approximately 10 miles south. The house is approached through the Yscir Fechan Valley on the edges of The Mynydd Eppynt. The Eppynt Ranges offer fantastic opportunities for walkers, riders and cyclists along the newly created Eppynt Way which is a waymarked circular permissive bridleway following within the boundary of the Army Training Area, a total distance of about 90 km- a long bike ride. The farm has its own private woodland where guests are free to walk ,relax and unwind in the ancient oak woods. Children love visiting here to see the lambs - lambing in March - April and then see them rushing around the rolling mountain fields while the adults ENJOY THE HOT TUB.

LocationMid Wales

This is the go to place for outdoor enthusiasts to make the most of the fantastic walking, riding & cycling opportunities, especially in the Cambrian Mountains National Park. The Ceredigion Coastal Path features numerous trails to choose from depending on how far you wish to travel. Whether for a full walking holiday or just a stroll along the cliffs to a village pub, this unspoilt route is perfect and has views out across the famous Cardigan Bay which is home to the UKs largest pod of dolphins.

Dotted along the Wales-West England border are lots of lovely market towns, many of which have their own castle. This disputed ground has a large number of Roman and Norman medieval fortresses, today some are only ruins or just the earthen works remain however there are plenty which have restored to their former glory and are open to visitors.

Mid Wales also just touches on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, a popular mountain range for exploring caves, forest activities and other more extreme outdoor sports such as rock climbing and abseiling. A number of historic railways mean other regions of Wales are easily accessible for a day trip, and make for an enjoyable way to travel and take in the sights.
