Description

The Property is a detached four bedroom holiday cottage, offering excellent family accommodation for up to 10 people in the heart of Aberdaron village. This is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with stunning beaches and coastline, at the tip of the  Llyn Peninsula. This large holiday rental has been  converted from what was originally the local smithy and retains many original features including two inglenook fireplaces with wood burning stoves.  Abersoch 10 miles, Pwllheli 15 miles and approximately 30 miles to the Snowdonia National Park.

The Cottage: is in a great sunny location with a large garden. It has Wooden flooring throughout the ground floor and Oil central heating.

Hall: entrance is through the side door in to hallway with hooks for coats and shoe storage.

Kitchen:  the heart of the cottage is the very spacious kitchen with a very large farmhouse style dining table to seat 10. This room was originally the smithy workshop and is dominated by a beautiful inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. It is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge/freezer and there is a washing machine, dryer and further sink in the separate utility room. Doors lead to the garden for outside entertaining.

Sitting Room: also has an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. The lounge is furnished with two sofas, easy chairs, a large flatscreen TV, DVD player and CD player and WiFi, and if the younger members of the family fancy time to themselves, the large attic bedroom on the second floor has another television.

Bedrooms: there are three bedrooms on the first floor, all carpeted and simply furnished. There is a double, a twin, and one very large room with a king size double and a single bed. The large fourth attic bedroom is open to the second set of stairs and has three singles, a flatscreen TV & DVD player and some limited headspace.

Bathroom: the first floor family bathroom has a bath with shower over, heated towel rail, WC and basin and there is a convenient second shower room on the ground floor with a large shower, heated towel rail, WC and basin.

Exterior: The Property sits in fully enclosed sloping grassed grounds with a small patio, garden bench and picnic table. The entrance is gated where there is enough room to park a small boat within if required. The parking is on the roadside/drive for 2 cars.(this is a dead end road accessing just a couple of cottages)

There is a children's play area adjacent to The Property, ideal for those with young families. It is a two minute walk to the sandy beach and promenade and is close to all local amenities. The village has two award winning bars both serving meals and light refreshments, cafes and a fish and chip shop selling locally caught seafood, a newsagent with an off license, a local bakery and Spar grocery store. The Wales Coast Path is on your doorstep with stunning walks in both directions and the National Trust has a fabulous visitor/interpretation centre, Porth Y Swnt, by the beach. Watersports are very popular at Aberdaron, with golf and fishing also available at Pwllheli. The popular seaside town of Abersoch is 10 miles away and the famous castle at Criccieth 25 miles. A scenic drive of 30-50 miles will take you to the Snowdonia National Park, an area of stunning natural beauty with a wealth of visitor attractions such as the Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon Castle and Zip World aerial zip wire.
