Beautiful location and great facilitles such as the pool table and tennis courts for a family holiday. It was very comfortable and we all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. The garden and views from the house were delightful. The bedding and pillows etc were a bit tired and shabby but this is something that could easily be remedied. The housekeeper Mrs Gordon was very helpful and kind.

Glad to hear you had a lovely holiday, it helps to have additional facilities like games rooms and tennis courts to keep groups entertained! We've forwarded your comments onto the owners and recommended they review the bedding as per your comments. Mrs Gordon will be pleased to hear you found her helpful. She's a great housekeeper and very diligent.

Very helpful on the phone. All the steps went through without a hitch.

Thanks for your feedback and we hope to welcome you to Bellrig on another occasion.

Beautiful house in even more beautiful surroundings. Excellent family holiday for three generations of the family (and the dog!). Only five minutes drive to shops and amenities. Lovely house, stunning location, relaxing break. Special thanks to Mrs Gorden the caretaker, lovely lady and very helpful.

Sounds like you all had an excellent stay, enjoying this beautiful house and grounds. Thank you for your review and the additional feedback left with our team here in the office, it's always invaluable. We totally agree the housekeeper is very accommodating and helpful to all visitors!

Excellent service. Booked through the website for a party of 10 and each party member was able to access and pay for their own part of the booking through our booking reference. Really easy to navigate through the website and really good customer service when contacting them by phone. Excellent holiday! Thank you

We're delighted you found the customer service excellent, it was a pleasure helping with your holiday plans. Glad your family found the payment system useful, feedback is always helpful as we're keen to improve our website and service where possible! We hope to be of assistance again in the future.

Lovely big house in very peaceful location. Snooker table and upstairs table tennis and couches with big telly were all well used and appreciated although access using ladder is not great.
Plenty bathrooms for us all but could do with at least one more proper shower instead of taps on bath.
Garden was lovely and very nice to chill in.
Tennis court looked great but there were no rackets to take advantage of this.
I would definitely recommend this home to friends and may be back again the future.

Many thanks for your feedback, so nice to hear you found the gardens peaceful and it sounds as though your group made the most of the fantastic games room.  The owners of this house do have a programme of scheduled decorating and maintenance work ongoing. Following a recent inspection we have also advised the owners that an extra bathroom or shower room would also assist future bookings.

Staff are very friendly, professional and helpful

Thanks so much, glad you found our team friendly and helpful.  We look forward to helping with the plans for your next get together!

This is a substantial house which is both warm and comfortable and has the real feel of a family home. The garden is large with a stream adjacent and a tennis court over the bridge. The games room is great with darts, table tennis and billiards etc and an open fire if needed and it provided hours of entertainment on very wet winter days. The drawing room with its open fire and grand piano was the perfect place to relax with plenty of space for our large family. The house would benefit from another bathroom or shower room and loo if it is fully occupied. The kitchen equipment and china needs to be sorted and some of the older items could be replaced. There was a very limited amount of toilet paper and no extra towels. However, the spacious rooms and lovely views made up for any shortcomings. The housekeeper was very welcoming and always available if needed. We would definitely book it again.

Thank you very much for such lovely feedback, great to hear you found this charming country house comfortable and spacious. Sounds like the games room was a big hit, we agree it is perfect for keeping all the group entertained on a Wintry day! All feedback is very much appreciated and your comments have been passed on to the owner of the house. It’s nice to hear the housekeeper was also to hand during your stay and we would be delighted to welcome you back again in the future.

The Scotts Castle Holidays team were extremely efficient and also gave a friendly personal service. Any queries were dealt with immediately and the team were always happy to talk on the phone.

Many thanks for the excellent feedback regarding our service. It was lovely to help with your holiday plans, and great that you found our team friendly and efficient! We would be delighted to assist with any future plans for another get together!

We had an outstanding holiday and the house and all the facilities were just as we had hoped. The rural setting was lovely and the garden and views from the house a delight.
The location of the house gave us a great choice of beautiful quiet beaches - we visited 5 different ones. Threave Castle and Gardens and a walk round Carlingwalk Loch made three contrasting very local activities.

The caretaker, gardeners and cleaners were all extremely pleasant.

Sounds like you had an amazing holiday, visiting lots of local areas and making the most out of your stay! We are pleased the facilities onsite at this charming country house were all you had hoped for and you felt that the house was a delight!
