Unspoilt and undiscovered, this beautiful country house sits above the river Deveron, and is an ideal place for a family holiday, to cast a line or just to enjoy the peace and quiet

Set in beautiful mature grounds, this traditional country house is a perfect retreat for a large family holiday. Built in 1936 in a traditional and elegant style the property enjoys a fantastic aspect and is accessed by a magnificent tree lined drive. The elegant drawing room is the ideal place for adults to gather whilst the comfortable sitting room is a great space for the children to relax and play. The kitchen is well equipped for your needs.

The 8 bedrooms are spread over the first floor are each are uniquely decorated in a comfortable style. There is plenty of parking available at this large holiday home for 8 cars. This secluded site was well chosen as it overlooks a bend in the river and takes in the rolling countryside. There is fishing that can be taken on the one mile of river, which is for both banks, for two rods, which is by separate arrangement.

  • Reception Rooms
The elegant drawing room is situated at the front of the house with an impressive bay window which overlooks the lawn, with comfortable seating, an open fire and a TV. With the feel of a family home, even with touches of grandeur, this is a room you can definitely relax in. Next door is a small study, which is a small scale version of a sitting room, with an open fire and comfortable armchairs, and this is a great room to hide away to read the morning papers in peace. On the top floor, the second floor, is a an old games room, which is relatively unfurnished, but there is a table tennis table there for the entertainment of children.

    Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is a large room, with enough space for the kitchen area and a seating area. In recent years it has been upgraded and with the granite work top space on the work-island and unit tops, there is plenty of room to prepare meals. For cooking there is the choice of using the AGA or the integral electric hobs and oven, or both. With a fridge/freezer, a microwave and 2 dishwashers, the catering side of things is catered for, so to speak. Breakfasting at the table by the window can seat 12 people. The dining room is next door and is a classic room, with dining capacity for up to 10 people. A utility room is next door to the kitchen,
