Tighnabruaich is a coastal village on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll, which is popular with the seafaring community for sailing and yachting. With a small vibrant community with a village store, it is a quiet place apart from in the summer months. This area is promoted as part of “Argyll’s Secret Coast” and it certainly boasts many fine scenic views over the Kyles of Bute and Loch Fyne, with Jeremy Clarkson, the former Top Gear presenter rating the route between Colintraive and Tighnabruaich as among his best driving experiences.  A 9-hole golf course is located by Kames, which is a great little course, by all standards. A ferry from Portavadie takes you across Loch Fyne to the Mull of Kintyre to East Loch Tarbert, allowing for great day trips on Kintyre. Access to the isles of Bute and Arran are also available by ferry.
