This Grade II listed property of immense character dates back to the 16th Century. Originally four separate properties including a Chapel it has been adapted over the centuries to provide extensive accommodation on several levels. On foot from the street you enter what appears to be a terraced stone cottage; the surprise awaiting within is a grand country house of the highest standard with many oak floors, superb fitted kitchen and a magnificent drawing room which overlooks the extensive gardens. The house surrounds a courtyard off one side of which there is a self contained 3 bedroom cottage. A roll top door to the side of the property leads to a large parking area for up to 7 cars (one private parking space is reserved for the owner).

This lovely old stone building and its cottage surround a pretty central courtyard with a raised fountain, climbers and shrubs. To the rear of the house is a terrace and very large, gently sloping, formal and informal grounds which provide a choice of eating and seating areas including a dining pavilion with large low level fire pit and BBQ adjacent. Paths meander through lawns, gardens, orchards, enclosed pond area and a further lawn. There is also a children's swing; to be used at your own risk and children must be supervised in and around the fountain and pond areas.

The historic cities of Exeter, Bath and Gloucester are definitely worth a visit, and with transport links all the way down to Penzance even the famous Lands End and remote Isles of Scilly can be reached.
