These two beautifully renovated semi-detached former farm workers cottages sit high above The Weald and have the most breathtaking views over the rolling Kent countryside. These very special houses have been decorated and furnished with great care and flair - retaining the glorious original Victorian details - so you can enjoy the perfect country holiday whilst experiencing a little touch of luxury. There are even picnic tables ready for you all in the orchard, sun-trap patios overlooking the panoramic views and many lovely walks right on your doorstep. Because of their great central location they couldn't be better placed for visiting the numerous National Trust properties and gardens in the area, a trip to London from nearby station at Headcorn will only take an hour and yet you can sit in perfect peace and quiet and listen to the birds in your very own orchard...Weald View Cottage and Bay Tree Cottage are almost identical and Weald View has a wonderful oak dining table and chairs to seat eight - so you can all get together when you want to and escape to your own cottage when you don't!! A popular destination for shopping and historical sight-seeing, the Market Halls host a traditional weekly market as well as vintage fairs and dog shows. The ancient pilgrimage site The Friars is worth a visit, and the Tyrwhitt Drake Museum has a large collection of horse drawn vehicles. The Bentlif Gallery and Museum exhibits thousands of collections including ancient Egypt, archaeology as well as local history.

No holiday in Kent is complete without a visit to Leeds Castle, once a royal residency to Henry VIII and today visitors can tour the stately rooms and the 500 acres of parklands. There are various exhibits through the year and fun events such as jousting and falconry. The outdoor maze and Go Ape tree top adventures are sure to keep the younger ones entertained.

For a rural day out, Kent Life is a working historical farm with tractor rides, play areas and a vintage village to explore. For something different pop by the Teapot Island which is home to England’s largest collection of teapots, many of which are for sale. Popular parks in the area include Mote Park, White Horse Wood Country Park and Teston Bridge Park. Taking a Canoe Safari along the River Medway is a great way to take in the countryside views, or for a fast pace visit the Buckmore Karting Circuit.
