  • "Trolls Lodge was a perfect little home from home while visiting relatives in the area."

We were a bit dubious about the underfloor heating but it did the job well, plus there was a little faux log burner so we were warm and cosy despite it being minus seven outside. We had everything we needed, and there were really helpful detailed instructions for everything. We’d definitely stay again.

Thank you for your kind comments. The underfloor heating is really efficient, if a bit weird to walk on in bare feet! We have tried to be comprehensive with local information. Property Owner

The property had everything to make it an ideal home from home stay and exceptionally comfortable. Ideally situated to explore the surrounding areas as well as further afield. The owner was always happy to stop for a chat and advise on routes, outings etc. Thornhill is a lovely village with everything we needed to for the week. Thoroughly recommend the local Chinese take away! Dumfries provided the usual culprit shopping experiences, such as Aldi, Lidl, Tesco etc. This was my first visit to Scotland and I wasn't disappointed.
