  • "Bay View is a lovely, comfortable, well equipped house in a great location."

It has everything you need for a relaxing break. The ever changing views across the river are superb. This was our fourth visit here and it never disappoints. Thoroughly recommended.

Communication from the owners was great & the information in the house is very useful. This is a really comfortable, spacious property set in a large garden in a beautiful situation with views better than the photographs. There are lovely walks from the house. It is ideally placed to explore Fife, Angus & Perth & Kinross. We'll definitely book here again and thoroughly recommend it.

  • "What a wonderful find."

Perfect spot overlooking Dundee. The property garden is lovely, the house itself has everything you need. Nice touch with a small basket of goodies. Only question the three bathrooms. There is a wet room, separate toilet and family bathroom. It didn’t cause a problem but might if you are expect three bathrooms! Will definitely come back and stay again.

Thank you for your lovely review. The sanitary accommodation has always been described accurately on the website as follows - Bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC ---- Shower room with walk-in shower and basin ---- Cloakroom with basin and WC---- We are very pleased that you had a good holiday. The house suited us very well and was a good location in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit. For future guests, it may be worth suggesting not to park under the trees as the sap drips off them and ends up giving your car a new coating

The view from the "picture window" in the lounge is even better in reality than in the photos! Its location is extremely convenient for exploring the many beautiful parts of Fife, or driving over the Tay Bridge to visit Dundee and beyond.

Property had more than enough space, views and things like kitchen wares. Peace and quiet and even enough room for our badminton net out the back. If you like trains, then you'll love living here as the view of the railway bridge view is superb.

Fantastic views, well-equipped and within half an hour or so to places like St Andrew's, Glamis Castle and Abroath. Easy 10 minutes to get into Dundee- longer if you walk over the bridge though! The cost of the Bay View was very reasonable.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay here."

The house was immaculate and the owners had thought of everything. Was great to be able to cook a roast dinner in a holiday cottage easily! Having a member of our party with an interest in trains the view was amazing but even for those who were less interested it was a stunning location! Could hardly hear the trains so didn't disturb us at all. Lots of lovely walks in area and plenty of attractions. We stayed close to the cottage due to pandemic but this was no hardship. Could happily have sat in the garden for whole holiday!

  • "Bay View cottage is comfortable and clean and has really lovely views over the estuary, across to Dundee."

There is quite a large lawn where we enjoyed sitting relaxing and looking out across the water. We also found plenty of walks reasonably nearby. Wormit is ideally placed to visit places such as Dundee, St Andrews, Arbroath and Montrose and we also went up into the hills beyond Dundee. We would certainly go back to Bay View if visiting this area again. One thing to note is there are about 8 steps up to one door and 3 or 4 steps down to the other door so anyone who struggles with steps may find it difficult. Overall, a really nice place to stay!

  • "Had a great stay at the Bay View Cottage."

The cottage itself was well-equipped and furnished throughout. We were there for a week of golf and the cottage couldn't be better placed for some superb courses. St Andrews is only a 20-minute drive away and there are many other good courses that are even closer - Drumoig being a real unheralded gem! The cottage was a great place to relax after a day of golf and, as many people have commented before, the view from the sitting room window was spectacular. The internet worked well - which is important these days - and the USB charging points in the bedrooms were a nice modern touch. All in all a great experience and a great week's holiday.

Everything supplied that we could ever want, and immaculate. The view was amazing, photos do not do it justice. And a perfect position for seeing all the local sights - St Andrews, Falkland, Dundee, all of beautiful Fife. All communication with owners excellent. We can't wait to come again.

  • "Just a few things to note."

An additional hairdryer would be appreciated, especially when there's a party of seven/eight people. We could find no drinks/glasses coasters. Our landfill rubbish bag had to be left in its undersink bin as the external landfill refuse bin was full (and not emptied by Fife Council during our stay. The same was true of the other 3 recycling bins). Information of which bin should be used when sorting items was provided but we could not find the appropriate day for collection of each bin. The garden would benefit from some attention - grass and shrubs need trimming. Overall, we were VERY SATISFIED with the property. It was ideal for my party of 7 people, as booked. The location was PERFECT. Furnishing, fittings and fixtures are of a high standard (all functioned - although we had no need of the washing machine nor dryer). NONE OF THIS IS NEGATIVITY, purely observation of what needs a little attention. WE WOULD HAVE NO QUALMS ABOUT RENTING BAY VIEW COTTAGE AGAIN!! HIGH QUALITY, WELL-EQUIPPED, IDEALLY PLACED FOR EASY ACCESS TO DUNDEE, BROUGHTY FERRY, PERTH, ST ANDREWS, etc. All this at a very reasonable price!

Thank you very much for your kind review and feedback which we do appreciate. We will ensure that there are an additional hairdryer and drinks coasters available in the property. Taming the garden is an ongoing project at the moment to make the very best of what is a lovely, large, mature garden. Property Owner

The property itself and the location was superb. Situated on the estuary of the Tay in a quiet village it is the perfect location to be able to relax and enjoy the views. A bit of an oasis. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful either. I believe the listing neglected to highlight that the property has internet, but it does. A beautiful well appointed property with all mod cons, spotlessly clean. Really, really pleased with our stay. Thank you.

The beds were very comfortable and the house was immaculate. There was even shelving full of books, magazines, dvds and games for all ages- so even on a rainy day there was enough to keep us entertained. The area is in a perfect location for attractions near by (there was a folder full of suggestions which we took advantage of) including the St Andrews beaches, and Carnie fruit farm.
