  • "The house was perfect for us."

We had plenty of room and the space felt very comfortable. Only negative would be that water wasn't very hot for showers and storage heaters pumped out too much heat during the day but was cold in the evening. Had to buy quite a lot of wood and use wood burner in evening. Other than that, the house was ideal and had beautiful views, great location and good facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

  • "This house was perfect for us."

Some of the listings do not do it justice. Yes the furnishings are tired but the space is huge, the kitchen brilliantly well equipped and the view magnificent. Location wise 5 mins and you're in the sea.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed the property so much, especially its location. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The property is a fantastic size, great location, and well stocked for self catering."

It is tired, that’s okay for a beach rental, what is not acceptable is a dirty property and mould on walls. We had to call when we arrived due to the poor cleanliness, filthy behind loos, dirty carpets and skirting, mould on walls. I also took pictures and sent them to John Bray. One room smelt so bad we couldn’t actually use it, it smelt of cabbage and despite us also cleaning I wasn’t going to let children stay in the room. John Bray still haven’t apologised, simply thanked us for the feedback! This is the 4th and last time I will book through John Bray. There is a minimum acceptable standard when hiring a holiday home, clean and hygienic. This is not the first time John Bray have been given this feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your visit but thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we tried to sort them out for you. We attended to fix the loo as we felt that was the issue with the odd smell but we apologise this was not the case. • "We had a wonderful holiday and the house is in a beautiful location, it offers a great space and wonderful views."

The kitchen was well equipped which was much appreciated and my boys loved the outdoor cold shower after surfing! There were a few downsides, but nothing that would stop us from visiting again. The general cleanliness of the property wasn’t great, with particular note to the internal windows, they could really do with a clean. The top bedrooms had an unusual smell, wondered if they were a little damp? Weather was pretty wet during our stay. Also the hot water tank didn’t give enough water for us all to shower but the immersion was always on so we just staggered the showers :)

  • "The property has a lovely deck area with great views and great location for the beach."

The house is basic but has everything you need, although the water tank doesn’t have enough hot water for the number of people at the property. The utility room was full of clutter and made it difficult to use the washing machine/dryer. The biggest disappointment was the furniture on the deck, it was absolutely filthy, we had to scrub the table twice to get it clean and we had to clean all the chairs, there were also cigarette butts left all over the deck which was horrible.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays to inspect as to why the outside was not checked or inspected before you arrived. • "We have stayed at Stradav more than once and it works very well for our extended family holiday, with the large all in one room working especially well."

This year there were spectacular views over the beach and to Pentire Head as Storm Noa raged. Small point that could be fixed, the toilet flush in the bathroom on the landing sticks very easily (without people noticing so likely to be wasting water).

We had a lovely stay in April (slightly too cold to really take advantage of the lovely balcony). It is a lived in holiday home but has everything you need. The water tank is not big so you have to spread out showers to get enough hot water. We would be more than happy to stay here again!

  • "We have returned from another fabulous week ."

. we had some issues with the hot water and this was addressed when we contacted the agent, though not entirely rectified. The boiler is not adequate for the needs of the house to allow everyone hot showers and the odd bath but hopefully this is being addressed. some new non stick saucepans/frying pan would make all the difference... hope this is useful feedback? Otherwise such a comfortable and lovely house.

  • "Great location and space for teenagers."

Decor and facilities a bit tired-I flagged up a lot of maintenance issues and I think the cleaner was overwhelmed by the size of the property. She hadn’t started it until the afternoon and was still cleaning at 4.30pm. I had to defrost the freezer and clean filters on the dryer and dishwasher. A lot of hair still on the floors. Hot water issues, falling off curtain pole, light bulbs need changing, broken cold water tap. Very friendly maintenance Is it at the door
