  • "We loved the house, the beds were very comfortable, plenty of room for 6 adults."

Driveway fits 3 cars and very secure for our dog. Bathrooms were fab. Loads of utensils in the kitchen. Huge dinning table and loads of room in the lounge and very comfy sofas. Sadly the huge negative is the house is very damp. We kept putting on the electric heaters but the clothes we hung were all damp. But the house is lovely and we had a wonderful stay

We are pleased to hear you loved the property so much and had such a great stay. We are sorry for any damp issues but will raise this with our maintenance to have a look into this. We do hope to see you back in North Cornwall in the very near future. Property Owner

  • "The house was perfectly sized for our family which included small children."

Not really within easy walking distance of the beach. We had a concern about the ranch rails on the landing as they were widely spaced apart enabling a child to fall between them onto the stairs or ground floor. It was a constant worry for us while we were in the house. The door that opened to the roof of extension wasn’t mentioned in the details. Kept this locked as no safety rails on the roof. Grass to back garden was very long making it difficult to pick up dog poo, we know this is due to scheduling etc but message about being fined if poo not picked up made us a bit paranoid about it. We don’t want to moan but think the safety issues should be addressed before anyone get hurt.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "As a cottage we had never stayed at before, this was the first time we had to make our own beds."

It didn’t take long but we had to make the singles into a super king ourselves this took some time to do. It seems that this request gets forgotten by house keeping. (Read other reviews) that said this house had everything you needed for a fantastic family holiday. Plenty of space great size bedrooms and 2 fantastic bathrooms. Only one thing wrong

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback from your stay. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the property. I am sorry the superking bed had not been made up prior to your arrival. I do note, however, that you arrived at the property at least 90 mins before the check in time which did not allow our housekeeping team to double-check the property before your arrival. • "09.30 check out is to early when you have a property that sleeps 8"

Thanks for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We appreciate that 9.30am is a tad early when moving out of one of our properties, especially if there is 8 of you! We have this in place so our cleaners and maintenace men have sufficient time to make the property the best it can be for incoming guests but we are always looking at ways in which we can improve. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite this and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the property and our whole family (4 families) had fun while there."

The property and facilities were excellent, thank you. We tried to find out before going the upstairs room layout of the property upstairs and whether there were 2 shower / bathrooms upstairs or downstairs but we’re not given any answers. There are 2 shower/ bathrooms upstairs. This would have helped us plan our holiday better and remove uncertainty. We enquired if more than 2 cars could fit on the drive and we were told 3 - but 4 can fit on the drive ! 3 behind the gate and one on the drive. The property description only says 2 cars. 2 adults used the sofa bed and found it to be quite hard, with a bump in the middle, so would only recommend that being used by children. The most annoying thing were the large white plates - they fit in the dishwasher, but the dishwasher can’t work properly with them standing up in the bottom shelf as the water spinner for the upper shelf is in the way and can’t move with those plates being upright!!

Thank you so much for your feedback! It is very helpful to us. Our apologies for not getting back to you regarding the upstairs layout. Regarding the parking, we have since amended this on our description of the property. We will also check on the dishwasher and the large plates so thank you for making us aware. We hope we can welcome you back in the future! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay and although we had a problem with hot water this was resolved very quickly."

Although pets are allowed the garden is not dog friendly the drive gate has a gap under it that our dog could of got under. We also feel that linen should of been provided and reflected in the cost

Thank you for providing us with your feedback following your stay at Whiteaway, it is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We will have a look into the garden gate to see if there is anything we can do to make it more secure. We will of course pass your recommendations onto the owner in regards to the bed linen - John Bray Cornish Holiday's on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful house every mod con, very comfortable and stylish only slight niggle is found it a bit cold as all electric radiators and not sure how to turn up as don't like playing with other peoples heating."

Although that being said there was a product brochure in folder. A suggestion maybe a couple of lines in a info document would be helpful. Brilliant stay would definitely do again.

Thank you for your feedback Elaine, we’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We’re really sorry that the heating wasn’t set quite high enough for your needs. We will place instructions for the boost function in the folder as suggested. Thank you again and we very much hope to welcome you back to Whiteaway in the future. Property Owner

  • "The house was nice."

But from pictures didn’t look like it was surrounded by other houses. The front single beds was supposed to be put as superking and wasn’t I had to struggle and do this myself. Cleanliness of kitchen wasn’t good. I had to empty cutlery draw and wash it out. And was everything in it. The house felt cold and a little damp. There was no logs. I had to go and buy some. The oven door is very low. And as I opened it cut my toe.which still hasn’t healed properly. So little disappointed

We’re so sorry that was your experience, absolutely not what we want for our guests. We will take up the cleaning and bed configuration issues with the caretaking team. The heating system is brand new and our apologies, we were not aware until two reviews in quick succession, that there was a problem. The settings have been adjusted and instructions for the boost function are now in the folder. Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us. Property Owner
